Mission
The West Jefferson Youth Athletic Association (WJYAA) is an all volunteer, 501 (c) (3) non profit organization dedicated to providing quality athletic programs to help the youth of our community develop sports skills and positive character traits such as teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership while being drug and alcohol free.
The WJYAA yearly serves hundreds of local children in the youth athletic programs of baseball, softball, soccer, football, basketball, volleyball, dodgeball and cheerleading. In addition, we provide uniforms, coaches, umpires/referees, post season tournaments with trophies, and seasonal parties for the league participants. We also maintain the athletic sites, manage concessions during the sporting events, and hold several fundraisers throughout the year.
The WJYAA is governed by a board who meet monthly and consists of the following officers: President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Sergeant-At-Arms, Fundraiser Coordinator, Concessions Coordinator,Co-Concessions Coordinator, Field Maintenance Coordinator, Co-Field Maintenance Coordinatorand Webmaster.
